Toni Kroos announces retirement from football, FIFA reacts

Toni Kroos have retired from international football after exit from Euro 2020 following a 2-0 defeat by England in the round 16, his announcement has lead to a reactions of the world football governing body, FIFA

The world football governing body popularly known as FIFA has reacted after Real Madrid star Toni Kroos announced his retirement from international football activity.

The former Bayern Munich star revealed on Friday afternoon that he’ll no longer play for Germany national team, after the team crashed out of the UEFA Euro 2020.

Toni Kroos was outstanding for Germany national team in the UEFA Euro 2020, and he played in all their four matches in the competition before they were exit following a 2-0 defeat by the Three Lions of England in the round of 16.

The midfield maestro posted a letter on his verified Twitter handle on Friday afternoon to announce his retirement, and he wished his national team best of luck in their upcoming matches.

 

Reacting after Toni Kroos announced his retirement from international duty, FIFA posted on their verified Twitter handle that;

“🔙 It all started at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea Republic.

🤩 Toni Kroos won the Golden Ball and Bronze Shoe awards as he led Germany to a third-place finish.”
