He's not for sell, as premier league club set to sign Chelsea star

One Premier League club is already planning to be first out of the gate this summer in an attempt to sign a Chelsea player.

We can’t think of too many Blues stars that have enhanced their reputations during another really difficult season at Stamford Bridge, but a few shining lights are impressing in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Chelsea are sleepwalking into another mid-table finish in the Premier League if they don’t end the campaign strongly.

So, who’s the Blues player on the Spurs radar?

Tottenham eager to sign Chelsea midfielder

The Sun claims this morning that Spurs hope they can tie up a quick deal to sign Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher this summer.

It is understood that the 24-year-old midfielder is a long-term target of Spurs. Also, manager Ange Postecoglou thinks the Blues star is the perfect individual for his style of football.

The report adds that the likelihood is Chelsea will sell academy graduate Gallagher as they attempt to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Apparently, they value the box-to-box central midfielder at £40 million, but the pressure to sell players before 1 July means he could go for cheaper if there’s no bidding war.

Spurs want to move fast to sign Gallagher, something they did with their transfer business last year, so could he be lining up in white by the start of next season?

Conor Gallagher sale would be massive shame

If Chelsea have backed themselves into a corner to cash in on academy players this summer, the individuals in charge deserve all the criticism heading their way.

From just a football standpoint, there’s no way Gallagher should be sold. He’s been one of the few players in the Blues squad that can hold their head up high this campaign.

It sounds like the Blues could lose an important player to a close London rival, though.
